Whiplash is a common injury, unfortunately, we still know very little. It is difficult to accurately diagnose and even more difficult to treat effectively. He explained what the study involved: “The study incorporates some clinical trials conducted in the research center on campus, with innovative monitoring techniques to take the investigation” outside the laboratory and in life every day, “he said.”Our research confirms that in some cases, people suffering from neck pain for a motor vehicle accident can go to experience pain and suffering months and even years after the injury.” We are just beginning to learn what factors determine whether persistent pain and suffering, but without knowing more it is difficult to intervene early to prevent long term problems. “Volunteers in the study are offered a variety of innovative new treatments in the center and side effects observed and monitored.

Each participant is usually followed by a year after their recovery and overall experiences whiplash. Dr Sterling hoped that the research will bring new treatments in use and creating a deeper understanding of whiplash injuries. She believes that the study of whiplash can be perfected in presiding over a branch of medicine that benefits patients worldwide. “The objective of this research is to identify factors that lead to people experiencing pain and suffering that interferes with their daily lives in the long term,” he said.
